Each year the Maryland Coalition of Police and Deputy Sheriffs reviews legislation that can effect the well being of police officers and Deputy Sheriffs in the Maryland State Legislature. Below is a link to the Legislature and your representatives. The Maryland General Assembly meets in Annapolis each year for 90 days to act on more than 2300 bills including the State's annual budget. The 418th Session begins January 14, 2004 and adjourns April 12, 2004. The General Assembly has 47 Senators and 141 Delegates elected from 47 districts. As issues arise or bills become introduced by MCOPS or other law enforcement organizations, we will post them on this page. Please contact your representative and voice your support for legislation.
