2008 Calibre Press
Street Survival Schools
Sponsored by the

Maryland Coalition of Police
 and Deputy Sheriffs

The Maryland Coalition of Police and Deputy Sheriffs is proud to sponsor street survival school grants for any law enforcement officer in the state of Maryland. These schools effectively train and reintroduce police officers and deputies to the modern tactics of survival on the street and in the jail so that our officers are able to better serve and improve the safety of our local communities. Maryland law enforcement officers receive tremendous training from their individual police training academies, however with limits on financial resources outside specialized training can be limited.

Any Maryland law enforcement officer may apply for a grant to attend an officer survival school being held in the state of Maryland or a neighboring state. Maryland COPS will pay for a three day Street Survival School presented by Calibre Press, recognized by Maryland for credit towards In-Service Training. Maryland COPS will make this available to at least 20 police officers or deputy sheriffs each year. The officers or deputies attending will be responsible for their own travel, food and lodging expenses.
